BodyGuard Stair Stepper, Club Model, Made in Canada. They were located in St. Georges, Quebec, but have recently gone out of business, having focused on higher end treadmills for the final years until they closed operations in June 20220. Fully functional, works great. Very well made and rugged machine. Remains stable and steady during workouts. Weight limit is 350 lbs.
One owner for 20+ years. We are finding that we are using our Peloton and outdoor running/walking for our exercise routine almost exclusively, so the BodyGuard has become rarely used.
Smooth operation, provides visual progress and different workouts. You program in your weight, desired length of workout, level of effort (novice, intermediate, or advanced), and pick from one of 7 profiles (see photos for profile examples).
This machine is solid; as such it is heavy, so local pickup only. We live about 75 miles North of Boston. There are front mounted wheels on the frame for some ease of moving. Will need a truck or van, no SUV will accommodate it. You will need help to get it up a short flight of stairs, out the bulkhead to the basement. After 5 back surgeries, I will be unable to assist you; we have moved it only when the moving van was relocating us.
Stored in our heated and very dry basement after we moved here from Arizona. Purchased at local fitness equipment store in 1996 for ,800 at the time that "Stairmaster" machines were ,200. This is the "Executive" model for Bodyguard, serving the home and club usage market.
We are not a gym, nor can we offer service. We feel certain that this machine will serve you well, and will build in a "
warranty
" should the machine cease to function for you. We will refund your purchase price if you return the machine to us (to the garage, not down the stairs to the basement). For each month of use you get from the machine
without
a mechanical breakage, we will deduct 0 from your purchase refund. For example: it you get 4 months of use, then it ceases to function, we would refund you 0 cash, if you paid us 00 for the original purchase. This will be honored if we agree that the machine is not functioning as advertised, and is not showing evidence of misuse, damage from improper installation (dropped it moving it into your home, your basement floods, etc.), or other accident or mistreatment.
