From The Chicago Tribune (12/4/91):The biggest splash comes with the addition of the Kieselstein-Cord boutique, which carries not only the designer`s trademark matte-finished gold jewelry, but also his belts, which are collected by celebrities around the world. (Among the 126 listed in his biographical data are people as varied as Frank Sinatra, artist Helen Frankenthaler, Giorgio
Armani
, Anjelica Huston, Michael Jackson, Robin Leach, Eddie Murphy, Yves Saint Laurent, Jane Pauley, Twyla Tharp and Oprah Winfrey.)
The signature pale green salon also will carry Kieselstein-Cord`s bags-when they become available. Though prices start at ''under ,000'' (5, to be exact) and climb to ,000, the bags cannot be created fast enough to supply the designer`s four boutiques in this country and Tokyo. Made in Italy of alligator, fine suedes and leathers, the bags` gold hardware and ornamentation are handcrafted by the same artisans who make Kieselstein-Cord`s jewelry. (The bags were introduced just a few weeks ago at New York`s Bergdorf-Goodman where customers now are ordering them from photos.)
***Please note: The buckle is not signed. It was purchased by my daughter 30 some years ago in a gallery in Santa Fe, NM.***
